Juliana Zipay is a strategic communicator and professional designer and writer with more than 10 years of experience in the higher education and nonprofit worlds. She is passionate about creating and implementing communications strategies that are meaningful, engaging, actionable, inclusive, and accessible.
As the Associate Director of Communications and Strategic Project Management within the Office of Engagement and Community Affairs and in support of the University’s Public Impact work, Juliana drives and develops the strategies, stories, and visuals that bring Pitt’s community impact to life.
Juliana joined the University in 2017, serving as the Communications Manager within the Office of Human Resources. Prior to working at Pitt, she served as the Membership and Marketing Manager for Silver Eye Center for Photography, a nonprofit photography art gallery located in Pittsburgh’s Bloomfield neighborhood. Juliana received a Master of Public Management from the Heinz College at Carnegie Mellon University and a Bachelor of Arts in Communication & Rhetoric from the University of Pittsburgh.
