The University of Pittsburgh Community Engagement Center in the Hill District is moving to its new home in the historic New Granada Theater in early 2026.
Come February, residents and the Pitt community will be able to visit the CEC in its new home in the New Granada Theater, located at 2007 Centre Avenue. Guests should enter the CEC from the entrance on the Wylie Avenue side. The CEC plans to open with a full slate of programming in February.
As CEC staff prepare for the move, there are some important dates to keep in mind:

| Dec. 23, 2025 | Last day to go to the CEC at the Blakey Program Center, located at 1908 Wylie Avenue. |
| Dec. 24, 2025 – Jan. 2, 2026 | CEC in the Hill District is closed for the University’s winter recess and CEC staff are not available. |
| Jan. 5 – Jan. 30, 2026 | CEC in the Hill District is not open to the public. Contact CEC staff by phone or email during regular business hours (Monday through Friday, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.) to set up a meeting or with any questions. |
| Feb. 2026 | CEC in the Hill District is expected to be open to the public at its space in the New Granada Theater, located at 2007 Centre Avenue (entering from the Wylie Avenue side). A specific date will be shared closer to opening. |
Room Reservations at the CEC in the Hill District in the New Granada Theater
CEC programming is expected to begin in February 2026 at the New Granada Theater. To reserve a room or space at the CEC in the Hill District at its new location, please submit a request online.
