May 5, 2026 - Update: We are open!
The University of Pittsburgh Community Engagement Center in the Hill District is open at our new home in the historic New Granada Theater.
Our street address is 2007 Centre Avenue, Pittsburgh, PA 15219. Visitors will enter the CEC from the entrance on Wylie Avenue (the backside of the New Granada Theater). Visit us at an upcoming event or program.

We’re excited to share that our new home in the New Granada Theater is taking shape, and we’re getting closer every day to welcoming you into our new space. To ensure we provide a space that is the best it can be for our community, we are extending our move timeline slightly by a few weeks.
This additional time will allow us to complete finishing touches and make sure everything is ready to welcome you into the CEC. We will share more details (and dates!) as they are finalized. As always, please be sure to return to this webpage for the most up-to-date information on our move.
We’re grateful for your patience and enthusiasm, and we are excited to open our doors and celebrate this new chapter together with you soon.
- Dec. 1, 2025 - Announcement
We are thrilled to announce that the University of Pittsburgh Community Engagement Center in the Hill District will be moving to its permanent location in the historic New Granada Theater in the beginning of 2026. This move has been years in the making, and we are so excited to welcome you into our new, invigorating space.
As we prepare for our move, we are sharing some important dates about programming and when you, as a valued member of our community, will be able to visit us:
- Dec. 23, 2025: Last day to visit us in the Blakey Program Center, located at 1908 Wylie Avenue.
- Dec. 24, 2025, through Jan. 2, 2026: CEC in the Hill District is closed for the University’s winter recess and CEC staff are not available.
- Jan. 5 through Jan. 30, 2026: CEC in the Hill District is not open to the public. Contact CEC staff by phone or email during regular business hours (Monday through Friday, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.) to set up a meeting or if you have any questions.
We will share more details and information in the coming weeks, including our room reservation form for booking spaces in the new location as well as programming details. We will keep you updated on any changes to our listed dates due to unforeseen delays.
