Health inequities are a major public health concern in the United States, and medical professionals have a responsibility to address the social and structural factors that drive them. As medical students and Social Medicine Fellows at the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine, we work alongside communities to better understand local needs and support efforts that promote long-term health and well-being in Greater Hazelwood.
