Gismondi Education Corps

The Gismondi Education Corps connects Pitt students with Pittsburgh neighborhoods, through tutoring, mentorship, and hands-on community engagement. 

Corps members are paid Pitt student workers that are mentored in cutting-edge reading and math techniques, play-based interventions, lesson planning, and more from GNEP instructional coaches and staff. Plus, from kick-off events to year-end celebrations and more in between, Corps members are connected with local alumni and like-minded peers to explore career pathways and build post-graduation networks.

Engage

Tutor and mentor students in Pittsburgh Public Schools and programs across the Homewood, Hill District, Greater Hazelwood, and Oakland neighborhoods.

Connect

Build relationships with Pitt alumni, expand a professional network, and gain real-world experience that goes beyond the classroom.

Applications to join the Gismondi Education Corps are accepted on a rolling basis via Talent Center, the University's online job portal.
